Meet the occupants

The Effinger family of Wildegg appears in chronicles dating from the Battle of Murten all the way to the eve of the First World War. Thanks to a meticulous family archive, including diaries, letters and memoirs, we know a lot about the men and women of the various epochs in which the Effingers were active, their affairs of the heart, their marriages, and their everyday concerns.

As you wander through their parlours, their library, their billiard room, their larders and their bed chambers, you will come into contact with the Effingers and get to know their life stories, up close and personal.
