From Wall to Wallpaper

The Collections of the Swiss National Museum

From 8 October 2010 to 1 May 2011

«From Wall to Wallpaper» revisits the use of wallpaper in Swiss interiors and traces its development from the first decorative papers of the 16th century to the latest creations of such contemporary artists as Olivier Mosset and Francis Baudevin. The collections of the Swiss National Museum, abounding as they are in examples of wallpaper from local houses and homes, including the Château de Prangins, will be shown for the first time as well.
Parallel to this exposition, the mudac (Lausanne) and the Musée de Pully present the exposition «Face au mur – Papiers peints contemporains», from 3 novembre 2010 to 13 february 2011.
